A representative from the Maryland
Department of Disabilities will give a demonstration
of technology related to hearing loss, including assistive
listening devices, alert systems and other devices.
These devices are available to be borrowed from its
assistive technology library at no cost. The presentation
will also include information about its low-interest
financial loan program that is available to persons
with disabilities interested in purchasing assistive
technology, durable medical equipment and home modifications.
We have a steering committee meeting
after the chapter meeting and you are invited to join
us. Your talent or skill can help the chapter grow
and help get the word out about the Hearing Loss Association
The meeting room has an induction loop
system for hearing aids or cochlear implants equipped
with a telecoil. CART is also provided.
NOTE: Parking is free
in all Montgomery County open parking lots, Cheltenham
Garage and St. Elmo Garage on weekends. On-street
parking requires meter payment.
Enter the building on the Woodmont
Avenue side; the door is locked on weekends, so please
arrive by 10:25 a.m. to get in. In the event you are
stuck at the door, send text to 301.801.2907 (Lise)
to let us know you are at the door. Someone needs
to meet you downstairs since a passkey is needed to
activate the elevator to our floor.
